Some members of the Kentucky Kayak Fishing Association and YakAngler.com got together this past Saturday and took a run down the Elkhorn Creek. Of course, we’re not going to talk too much about me falling in before I even got in my kayak!
It was a great day even though the water levels were down a bit. It didn’t seem to keep the fish from biting, but the bite wasn’t as hot as it usually is. Everyone caught fish, in fact everyone caught multiple fish! You can never complain about that. So here are some pictures of Adam, Jeremy, Dave, John, Evan and myself. Oh…along with some assorted fish.
We plan outings all the time on Yakangler.com. If you’re thinking about venturing into the kayak fishing nation it’s a great place to start. Everyone is willing to share rigging tips, past experiences, and fishing tips.
If you haven’t bought a kayak yet be sure to pick out the one that best suits you and your own personal style. The folks at Canoe KY have a great selection to choose from and will be glad to help you demo some models to put you in the one that’s just right for you.
Sounds like a ton of fun! But, with my adventures…I think that I’m better off with my feet on the ground!
Oh me too a lot of the time! You did see the line about me falling in.
